About Summer Ekelund-Weaver
- M.A., Biology, DePaul University
- B.S., Biology, Gannon University
- Ms. Ekelund is fascinated by the complexity of the living body and its interaction with and response to a variety of changing environmental conditions. She gravitates toward global body concepts and dissects out detailed conceptual pathways. She strives to include mental health impacts, cellular physiology, developmental processes, biome influence and communication, “dis-eases” of the body, immunity, and healing into her courses. Examining, experimenting, and discussing our unique individual human body laboratories is key for education, enlightenment, and acceptance.
