Awards & Accomplishments
- Kelsey (Mader) Kleiner '17 at OneTen The Studio was selected through a competitive process to partner with a rural manufacturer in the PA Wilds region, collaborating with the PA Wilds Center to create products aligned with its brand values.
- Jeffrey Haft '07 conducted a study at Mercyhurst University on the effects of a 12-week NeckX® cervical stretching and strengthening program, involving 162 collegiate athletes in high-concussion-risk sports. The research measured cervical strength, range of motion, and concussion incidence, providing valuable insights into athlete health and injury prevention.
- Mary (Kirk) Barber '84, a fifth-grade teacher at St. Egbert Catholic School in Morehead City, NC, received the 2024 Monsignor Gerald Lewis Award for Teaching Excellence from the Diocese of Raleigh during a special Mass at St. Egbert Church, celebrated by Msgr. Lewis and Bishop Luis Zarama.

- Barbara Harkins '22 landed on the tailoring scene in Erie after graduating from Mercyhurst University's fashion merchandising program in 2018 and apprenticing as a tailor at Isaac Baker Tailoring.
- Anthony Prusak '90 recently joined Questex Travel, a leading events and publishing company for luxury travel advisors and meetings/incentive planners, as Business Development Director.

- Matthew D. Weinholtz '15, an intelligence studies graduate from Mercyhurst and former Virginia State trooper, was awarded a firearm by the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association, honoring Trooper John J. McKenna IV; he will be assigned to Troop A.
- Theresa De Cree ‘21 is in her third year doctoral student in Applied Anthropology at Texas State. She has been awarded the prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Institute of Justice.
- Marie Kuhn '13 received the ADP Ambassador Award for Excellence in Payroll and HR Leadership.
- Thomas Sporrer Jr. '10 was recently awarded the Super Lawyers Rising Star Award.

- Justin Dombrowski '10 is a well-respected historian from Erie, Pennsylvania, who specializes in local criminal, legal, and historical records. He is often found delving into his next historical adventure or spending time with his family. His latest work, Erie’s Great Mausoleum Mystery: Ghouls, Grave Robbers & Extortion, marks his fourth book with The History Press.
- Ashley Carman '09 has been hired as Vice President and Director of Client & Community Relations for PNC Bank’s Northwestern PA market.
- Cynthia Haines '79 is the first president and CEO of The Hear Foundation, a Pittsburgh nonprofit that brings together police and residents to promote public safety and harmonious relations.
- Eric Fink '18 was appointed president and managing partner of Slone Partners, overseeing and marketing finance, HR, and consulting services.
