Dr. Kris Gossett, Associate Professor of Management, earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Otterbein College, his MBA from Morehead State University and a DBA from Anderson University.

Prior to joining the Mercyhurst faculty in 2012, Dr. Gossett worked as the lead instructor of business at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana's Muncie campus from 2000-2012. While pursuing his Doctor of Business Administration at Anderson University, Dr. Gossett taught Organizational Behavior at several satellite campuses in the Anderson MBA program. Prior to working for Ivy Tech Community College, Dr. Gossett worked in the grocery industry for a year after his undergraduate studies and then spent 4 years as a Residence Hall Director at Morehead State University while he pursued his MBA. 

Dr. Gossett is the co-founder and faculty advisor to the Mercyhurst Modern Cinema Club at Mercyhurst. Each semester the club puts on campus-only premieres of popular films at the local Cinemark theater.  Dr. Gossett also leads a group of students and alumni to the Toronto International Film Festival each fall and has taught a 21st Century Cinema class at Mercyhurst for students interested in the film industry. As of 2022, over 1500 people have attended an event put on by the Mercyhurst Modern Cinema Club making it one of the most visible clubs on campus.
