Kent performs frequently throughout the tri-state region as a professional trombonist. He has performed with the Erie Philharmonic, Erie Ballet Orchestra, Misery Bay Big Band, Bayfront Dixieland Jazz Band, and award-winning Erie band, The Groove, among others.  Kent serves as the brass coach for the Erie Junior Philharmonic, and he directs band programs in the Erie Catholic School System. In addition, he teaches trombone and euphonium at Allegheny College.
