Currently serving as department chair, she joined the faculty in 1986 and has served as the program director from 1997 to 2000 and from 2004 to the present. Her areas of interest include environmental, healthcare, and lighting design. Her research efforts have focused primarily on the relationships of the built environment to the natural environment and to human behavior. She has presented at the local, state, and international levels, most recently presenting at the Oxford Roundtable at Oxford University.
Education and Academic Interests:
Professor Weidenboerner earned her design degree from Mercyhurst College and a Master's of Education in Environmental Science from Gannon University. She is an NCIDQ certified designer and maintains professional membership in IDEC (Interior Design Educator's Council) and ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).
