Mercyhurst Literary Festival: Novelist Thrity Umrigar
Novelist Thrity Umrigar presents the Dr. Ken Schiff Reading in Fiction on Thursday, March 21, at 8 p.m. in Taylor Little Theatre. The fiction reader during each year’s Literary Festival at Mercyhurst University is sponsored in part by an endowment in honor of the late Ken Schiff, a long-time professor of literature and creative writing at Mercyhurst. The presentation is free and open to the public. Umrigar is the best-selling author of the novels Bombay Time, The Space Between Us, If Today Be Sweet, The Weight of Heaven, The World We Found and The Story Hour. She is also the author of the memoir First Darling of the Morning. Her books have been translated into several languages and published in more than 15 countries.
