Faculty Recital: Sarah Schouten, French horn
Friday January 17, 2020 - 7:00 pm
Walker Recital Hall
Sarah Schouten presents a recital on the French horn, accompanied by pianist Amber Shay Nicholson. Titled “Reflections,” the program features music that tells a story, whether specifically written by the composer or as an abstract thought within the music, including “Journey” by Paul Basler; “Why/Because” by James Grant; “Ages” by Susan Mutter; and “Saga” by James Naigus. Each piece allows listeners to reflect on their own lives, current journeys, and future plans in an enchanting and sometimes evocative program. “Reflections” will be performed Friday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. in Walker Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
