The Erie Dance Consortium and Mercyhurst University will present a community dance class with New York teacher and choreographer Richard Chen See on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Zurn Hall danceSpace on the Mercyhurst campus. The ballet class will be taught based on the theory of modern choreographer Paul Taylor and is recommended for students 12 years and older who have trained in dance for a minimum of five years for three to six hours a week. Class size is limited to 25. The cost is $25 to participate and $10 to observe. Participants may register at eriedanceconsortium.org/register or email firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition, Chen See will present a lecture on “The Evolution of the Taylor Aesthetic/Style” on Thursday, Feb. 8, 5:45-6:45 p.m. in Zurn 114 at Mercyhurst. This lecture is free and open to the public.
