Academics at Mercyhurst
Mercyhurst University educates approximately 3,400 students in more than 60 undergraduate majors and 12 master’s degree programs. Many of our programs are recognized for their excellence and distinctiveness, as well as the skills and achievements of our graduates.

All students pursue a challenging, flexible academic curriculum of multidisciplinary coursework designed to prepare them to thrive in careers or graduate school, while also providing the knowledge, skills and attitudes to live more rewarding lives.
Located in a quiet neighborhood in Erie, Pennsylvania, on a hill overlooking Lake Erie, our campus is known as one of the most beautiful in the region. Throughout our gated 127-acre campus, you will find elements of English Gothic architecture as well as state-of-the-art learning spaces.
Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of all our students. Heading off to university can be a difficult adjustment at first, especially for international students. But no matter what difficulties you encounter, we have the people and services in place on our campus to help you through.
On-campus student residence halls help support students in the transition to university life while promoting academic and social growth. And there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in student life, thanks to our numerous campus traditions, events, student clubs and organizations—including clubs exclusively for our international students.
